Normality according to the Daily Mail is either white middle aged and male (the ones who know stuff) or white young and female (the ones who we want to look like). The world is a diverse place full of all kinds of poeple including clever women, and daft men, of all colours, shapes, sizes and philosophies. The Daily Mail editor should stop perpetuating stereotypes and acknowledge people's contributions to a better world without the lazy fallback of judging what they look like.

The Daily Mail is disgusting as recent events regarding Ed Milliband and Harriet Harman have shown, but attacking scientists in this way is low even by their abysmal standards.

It's a shame that something so disgraceful has happened in 21st century, in a European country that has done so much in terms of personal freedom and equality.

The sheer search for bias in selecting scientists to discuss this event is appalling and sad: it shows that humanity is not ready to share excitement and benefits from such research. Furthermore, we have surmounted the degradation of active women since long in Europe, which proves the fact that Daily Mail needs to learn from other countries, especially Scandinavia and Germany
