And people say feminism is unnecessary... It's cultural phenomena like the Daily Mail that keep sexism and racism alive.

More of the same lazy journalism from the Daily Mail. No inquiry, no analysis, just a gut reaction to the sight of two experts who were not male and not white..

The journalistic equivalent of the nasty juvenile sexism so often passed off as "banter". Idiotic.

Dr Aderin-Pocock is an excellent scientist and a superb communicator. The Daily Mail on the other hand, prints garbage, slander and made up stories.

A pity they could not see beyond the gender and skin colour but then we are not talking about an intellectual broadsheet are we? They are far more interested in sexualisation of young girls and scaremongering about ethnic minorities. A public apology first and then ban them from publishing articles they know nothing about!

Utterly predictable from the Daily Mail, but this kind of insulting inexactitude cannot be allowed to pass.

C'mon Daily Mail, are you living in the 1950's?? Your comments are incredibly ignorant and dissmissive, not to mention insulting.

What a disgusting piece of slander to publish. Just pushes your reputation further into the shit heap you've created.

The Daily Mailneeds to step out of the early 1900s and look at the world of today. Many scientists, research or otherwise, are female. We havealways been there, but today's science community now recognises the fact. Isn't it about time that the press evokved in a positive way too?
