This petition is to the governor of Sinai know that both locals and internationals alike are not happy that building is being allowed that will deny divers beach access to the dive sites Abu Helal, Abu Talha, Ricks Reef and Golden Blocks.
By closing these dive sites, they are not only drastically reducing the number of dive sites we have in Dahab but also increasing pressure on the other dive sites still available to divers. This will have a severe impact on the local environment and tourism in the area.
We are not against the buildings but against the closing of access to these dive sites and want to keep them available to all centers as they have always been.
Please show your support by signing this petition.
The governor is ignoring our concerns while developers prepare to choke off our access to the reefs. We need to hit five hundred signatures immediately to force his office to actually look at this mess. Push this link out to everyone you know right now because we cannot let them pave over our livelihoods.

Ridiculous. Everyone goes to Dahab for the reefs. Stop prioritizing developers over the people who actually live and work here.

Dahab is all about the diving. Cutting off these spots will destroy the local economy and ruin what makes this town special.

The reef is already stressed enough. If you crowd everyone onto fewer sites it will just cause more damage to the coral. bad idea.
