DAA Term 3 COVID 19
Dear DAA Administration and management
Allow us to first start by thanking you and your team for what is sure to be tremendous effort trying to find alternate solutions to maintain education given the circumstances. We can attest that your teachers and support team are trying their absolute best to try and get our children engaged in virtual classes, and making themselves always available to support. Now with the announcement that learning beyond walls will continue till end of year, and for the sake of every parents' sanity at least acknowledge that what you are now offering is not the schooling that we agreed to pay for. As we are sure you can relate, parents are now working as full-time teachers, counsellors, in addition to trying to maintain their extremely demanding work schedules at times when all businesses are struggling, income is at risk, and future employment or business survival has never been more volatile. The entire world economy is struggling, and businesses are expected to stand by their communities, those who don't will regret that decision as social awareness is certainly on the rise. We are struggling to comprehend why the very highly paid, for-profit, private schools expect their business to remain undeterred when the entire world economy is facing an unprecedented slump. Even if you were not willing to take the revenue hit, it is appalling to issue a request for payment during these times.
As proud members of the DAA community we urge you to reconsider where your organization stands during these times, and consider what you want the school to be remembered for when life returns to whatever new norm. Thank you for you leadership and support and wish the best of luck navigating these unprecedented times.
