Quarantining heathy kids for 14 days is excessive. The greater good is being sacrificed. This policy is causing unnecessary anxiety for our kids.

According to the CDC, risk of exposure is extremely low with mask wearing. The children are wearing masks in school, do not make them quarantine unless they are actually sick with symptoms of illness!

Put an end to the charade. Healthy children do not need to be quarantined.

I have talked to Dr Martha Buitrago and Dr. Barb Nelson of Eastern Idaho Public Health and have learned a great deal. We are having an increase of COVID cases in our area. I fully support EIPH and their recommendations for making our communities and schools safe including quarantining children who are asymptomatic. I am sorry for any misunderstanding and my previous post

You’ve taken everything from these kids. Don’t take this too!

My poor daughter was sent home a week after she was “in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID” and was told she had to stay home another week. She never once showed any signs or symptoms!!

Ridiculous that’s kids have to quarantine when they have no symbols. My daughter is on a 2 week quarantine because someone on her team tested positive. Let people love their lives.

Please change the District quarantine procedures. The risks of depression, mental health, and even suicide far outweigh the dangers of COVID-19 for developing children. There are minor policy tweaks that can be made to keep healthy kids in school.

My daughter has been in School 12 days since school has started. She was first exposed September 1st. Back to school September 15th exposed for the second time September 16th and is out until October 1st. Prior to finding out about the second exposure she had been at school and practice completely healthy, showing no symptoms, for 6 days since being exposed. She is extremely stressed about grades since her first quarantine and now she will be even more behind. Something has to change!

My daughter is in Marching Band. She loves to support her piers. Practice got cut short this morning and the Competitions got canceled for tomorrow. Things are slowly starting to shut down. This is a bit alarming.

Can you speak of your opinion with some medical backing to what you’re trying to say? I’m confused. I thought you are a local endodontist? What’s your schooling in academia? Are you a professor too?

Aren’t you Haackes wife. From D91 Board of Trustees? How do you get to sign this?

If masks supposedly work, why should students who wear masks and are near someone who supposedly tested positive, be quarantined? Where is the logic? Oh, ya. That left most people months ago. Stop running scared. Supposed safety should NEVER overrule freedom.

As long as the kids are being compliant with mask wearing I'm ok with this.

Please change our policy to a symptom-based approach so that heathy kids are not quarantined. Thank you
