The different frame rate makes it not possible to easily use this camera as a camera 2 in a video shoot with an D810. Why do I have to use a gopro for this? Argh.

Please make the nikon d7000 be able to shoot 720p at 60fps. Cheaper models of canon are able to do that but not the d7000. We really need this...

I own my own pro media company, I shoot video and still images. Most of my contracts are with local government organizations. I'm a hardcore Apple guy because Apple stays on top of their game with pro users. Been a Nikon owner for years and the ONLY thing keeping me with Nikon is my heavy investment in Nikon glass. However, I am seriously considering making the switch to Cannon for the exact same issues you've raised. I have a 7000 for video and a D3 for still. If Nikon could design a full frame camera that could shoot video, then I would stop rattling the cage and stay loyal to Nikon like I have been to Apple.
