Totally agree. Paying for private tutors just to teach my kid what they should be learning in class is ridiculous.

My son literally cries over his math homework every night because nobody explains anything in class. He feels like he is failing even though he tries so hard. This system is broken and needs to change now.

Absolutely agree!! I have 2 smart, capable students struggling with this type of teaching this year. It's new to me and my kids who were selected for honors classes feel stupid and are struggling through wih no idea how to actually do the math they are supposed to be teaching themselves. We pay a good amount of taxes to be in a great school district but I'm not getting my money's worth if the teachers aren't teaching my kids. Let's set them up to succeed!!!

I used to be great at math. math was my calling. since I was little I wanted to be a 7th grade math teacher. as time has gone on, I've learned to hate math, solely because of my school's courses. honestly very saddening

This math curriculum made me believe I was stupid!! I stopped failing as soon as I had my parents teach me outside of school because I couldn't rely on my teacher to.
