The responsibility of the tragic events of 11 July 2011 belong to president Christofias and the current government.
We the undersigned call for the immidiate resignation of the president and government officials.
Furthermore, we call on for the abloishment of the National Guard in Cyprus as it was yet proved once again that it defeats its purpose. It is not the enemy who is killing our young generation but the state itself with the help of the Cypriot taxpayer.
With the country saving 3.8% of the GDP spent on defense each year we would b saving 600 million Euros, enough to build many electricity plants, water dissalination units and further public spending for the well being of the island.
The path forward feels exhausting and the weight of these events remains heavy on us all. We are nearing two hundred fifty signatures and I need you to stay focused so we can finally demand the accountability this country deserves.

The national guard is useless. We are paying to be killed by our own government. Close it down now.

Think of the money we could spend on schools and water if we didnt throw it away on defense. it makes no sense.
