Over 45,000 CWA union workers are currently striking against Verizon, not just to keep the pay and benefits the union has worked so hard for the last 50 years, but to keep middle class jobs intact in the USA.

CWA workers sacrifice their health and lives climbing up 20 ft. telephone polls or standing in 100 degree heat in a manhole everyday so that homes and businesses can hear that all-important dial tone. The CWA union strikers work on the wireline side that Verizon says is "losing money". They fail to mention they made $2 billion in PROFITS last year and that the CWA wireline workers actually upkeep the copper cell towers that power the WIRELESS side of Verizon. Yes, its all intertwined.

The CWA is a vital part of the overall economic machine that helps businesses get business done and make money for NY state and America. However, Verizon doesn't think that the CWA union workers deserve to make an honest middle class living. Instead they want to take away $20,000 from each CWA worker in pay and health benefits.

This is not only an affront on the CWA workers but middle class families across the nation that ask for a fair shake from corporations.

So tell Governor Cuomo and Senator Gillibrand, that you will not look away from this egregious labor violation by Verizon. Sign my petition and tell them that you care about the CWA union workers and want them to keep their wages and benefits. Tell Cuomo and Gillibrand that you expect them, as NY state leaders, to show their full, public support for the CWA union against Verizon.
