I have been working for the City for 36 years. I would like to have an early retirement incentive approved. I don’t know how long I will live to enjoy my retirement if I have to retire at 62 because of my health. Thank you

Sir: I urge you strongly to vote in favor of the Early Retirement Incentive. It is imperative that those City Workers who have unwaveringly stayed committed to City responsibilities throughout the Covid-19 crisis now be recompensed properly and honorably by having access to an early retirement option if they otherwise qualify. Some titles were labeled "essential workers" and therefore obligated to expose themselves to hazardous Covid-19 conditions even though they have no hazardous duty benefits. Many have health conditions that place them in great risk of harm under the Covid-19 crisis and would welcome a the opportunity to retire now if they could.
Passing this Bill for early retirement is the right thing to do. Please therefore pursue the passage of the ERI aggressively.

YES. I totally want and deserve an early retirement. Have been working with N.Y.C. In three different local government agencies for a combined total of over 32 years.
