I would like to see some changes made to the CVHS sports program including end of season coaching/sports team evaluations. The parents and players should have a voice. Who is making sure coaches are are be accountable and responsible.

i have seen athletic programs make a difference in kids lives. Let's make it so ANY child who wants to play sports can have the chance and not be affected by financial issues

over 800 students play sports at the high school alone. If there was funding, there would be even more students. Sports bring unity to the school, teach life-long lessons that are used on and off the field. Sports enhance the high school experience. Sports are proven to prevent kids from participating in crime, drugs and unwanted pregnancy. It blows my mind that people can question the importance of sports. Hats off to the volunteers that have kept this program going for all of these years. It's now time for you to sit back and enjoy the game. I hope everyone shows up to the board meeting on the 23rd.

I think we should ask ourselves - is $2600 per student better spent on something more than athletics? Like, maybe another teacher? Foreign language? Music? Science? How many kids are really involved with Athletics? And is it as important as academic subjects?

Although I have donated approx $800.00 this last year you cannot depend on families to beable to fund the sports in their entirity. Pay to Play leaves many off the field.
