Very unfortunate to hear the negative rumblings in the Bloomington soccer community. I’ve always looked up to Tommy Berry and his team. He’s a man of integrity who puts players first.

As a former player and coach for Cutters Soccer Club, I’m concerned about the direction of the club. I hope that the board of directors, club staff, and community can come together to serve the club members and do what is best for the players and coaches.

I am a former parent, coach, board member and president of the Cutters Soccer Club. The general meetings of the Cutters Soccer Club Board of Directors must be kept open and transparent to the entire membership and staff of the program according to the Club's By-Laws. Despite restrictions due to Covid, there must be an election, also as specified in the Club's By-Laws.
Tommy Berry was always agreeable and cooperative with me during my tenure as President. His work ethic and devotion to the community are beyond reproach - he works for the best interest of the children athletes, and sometimes of necessity against the wishes of parents. His responsibility is also to "establish and maintain a qualified staff of coaches" per the Club's published "Procedures and Rules", and to this end he has served the Club well. While I was living in Bloomington, I've seen Tommy devote his heart and life to the Cutters Soccer Club, and together with the athletes, their parents, volunteers, and staff have helped to make it one of the best Clubs in Indiana.
