When I lived in L.A., my house was assessed at over $400K and my combined property/school taxes were $160 a month. Here in Ogdensburg, my house is assessed at $60K and school/property taxes are $250 a month. Enough said!

What is the plan to replace the money? If you lower the taxes how do we pay for everything? The school already says it doesnt have enough money for the budget now.

we need a nice camp ground and picnic area also a
beach instead of pool.
anybody traveling though or run down city is not going to stop if there is nothing for them to do.
our city offcials go on vacation where do they maybe lake george when they come home they forget about our beautiful river

Stop taxing us to death. That isn't going to solve the problem. Property owners don't want to improve their homes because they're penalized for it, so this city ends up looking like a hell hole. Put untaxed properties on the tax roll. Stop driving business away. Stop putting roadblocks in front of every opportunity that may bring people and business to Ogdensburg. Open a freaking beach! Allow Ogdensburg to be a major concert venue! Ogdensburg city "leaders" need to do something besides collect a paycheck!

Put church-owned properties back on the tax rolls or cut taxes. It is overwhelming when so few taxpayers must bear the load for all the parasites!

You need to do something our town looks like a run down dump I grew up in Ogdensburg and left when I was 19 moved back when I was 26 and couldn’t believe what our town looked like all the beautiful homes that looked like run down dumps maybe cutting taxes will inspire people to love our town again and work together to bring it back to Life
