I believe that Andrew deserves the best possible chance to have a meaningful recovery and as much of a normal life as possible. For that to take place, he needs to be with his grandparents, who have loved and support him and his recovery since Day 1.

His grandparents, devoted to his care, will be more able and likely to care for Andrew and his serious medical and emotional needs. I expect that he has a strong attachment with them as they have always been there for him but could not protect him from his mother's boyfriend. It is sad that she chooses him over her child.
