Unfair exam with 20+ point avg. disparity between Dr. Merkler and the other Biochem professor’s exam.
The exam was unfair and unbalanced. Even with our notes (being an open note exam) the average was still a failing grade.
It’s the only sensible thing to do.
I genuinely wish we had these lectures in person because there was a lot of things he only briefly talked about and it was just a horrendous exam overall ):
Horrible no recitations no review horrible PowerPoint lectures
I don’t understand why it was this difficult. I Understand that this is an upper level course, but I feel like we were tested past what we were taught

As mentioned above, even with being granted open note access, this exam was simply too difficult given the circumstances. Not to mention that many of the topics tested weren't even mentioned or were possibly mentioned once in his low quality audio recordings. This is very upsetting and if anyone knew that quarantine would happen during this semester, I highly doubt anyone at USF would have taken Biochem. Its tough enough and Merkler made it excruciating.
