Whilst this may be legal in planning terms it is interesting to note that three barns have been in errected in the last few months under the same planning application. All on small parcels of land within a quarter of a mile on Canada Road.

What an unsightly addition to this residential area. Legislation for "agricultural use" clearly needs to be amended.

This is clearly an attempt to build a residential property by stealth. Using planning laws in such a dishonest way makes a mockery of the system and hightlights the need to close up the loopholes that allow unscrupulous individuals to achieve an unlawful outcome without being prosecuted. Please ensure that this and future outrageous manipulation of the system by determined individuals is stopped, or what good are planing laws? This particular incident affects not just the immediate neighbours, but potentially anyone who may live next to a similar site.

I was dismayed and saddened that anybody could be so mean spirited to put the Barn in that position, blocking their views and light that they have enjoyed for 50 years. I thought this was a National Park

This is an absolute outrage, of someone taking full advantage of a loophole in the planning law. You wouldn't be able to build a house that close to the boundary so why a barn, especially when there is such a large field for it to be sited in. I was born and bred in Canada Road, and lived there until 2009. The owners of the bungalow have lived there for many many years enjoying this view, and the view is part of the value of your property. So this barn has now devalued their property by probably a large amount. Not only that, the aesthetics of the property, and the field for that matter has been ruined. I thought planners were meant to be there to make sure buildings were located in suitable places. This is total disregard of the planning ethics. I may not live in Canada Road, but it will always be my home, and I hate to see it being abused like this. The farmer who has put this up has always seemed to be able to get away with abuse of planning, but putting up industrial buildings in the guise of agricultural buildings, producing blots on the landscape. I totally fail to see how this can be in accordance with the PD law of this county. The barn must be taken down. The owner of the land is obviously not someone who is concerned about the welfare of the countryside - typically come in to a village and ride roughshod over the locals and the local councils. Probably a nice big backhanded given to someone - maybe the local MP who happens to live just two doors down to overlook this little transgression.

I live locally and there are many houses in Wellow village that adjoin agricultural land. Please change the planning law to prevent this from happening.
