Apart from the obvious thoughtlessness of the positioning of the barn, the blatant use of a 'loophole' and the financial arrangements mean this permission should be withdrawn on appeal.

This is completely unbelievable. I can understand Dave and Di's nightmare. I know how much they love their garden and how much effort they put into living off the land. This petition to go to parliament and shame Boris into changing the ridiculous loophole. The monstrosity should come down.

Feel so sorry for the owners of the lovely house whose country side views have been replaced by a huge black wall. They must be absolutely devastated!

I am very sad to hear of your problems and how much it has impacted on your lives and especially as you have been part of the community for nearly 50 years. I would like to suggest that the 2020 Business and Planning Bill should be used to reverse this inappropriate aspect of the 2015 Act. The Bill is being debated in Parliament at the moment.

This is a clear manipulation of a badly thought out planning regulation and a disgrace. The siting of the barn so close to a neighbouring property is an act of vandalism and should have been prevented by the Planning Authority. Clearly a review of such planning regulations is required.

Quite rightly this is making local and national news - the building is an eyesore in completely the wrong place. This time it's in our village but highlighting how planning laws anywhere can be so easily circumvented, even in a National Park.

It is self evident that the rules and regulations require reassessment, based on what has happened in this case and possibly others since 2015. If the intention of the planning act is being used/abused contrary to its intended objectives, then re-examination and amendment is urgently required.
