So very sad to see what has happened in such a beautiful and peaceful part of the World. I cannot understand why something so unreasonable has been done to an ordinary retired couple. It’s a long way back for a retraction, and probably a lot of money. But it is only money, so I hope there is a satisfactory conclusion. Our World has gone mad.

This development seems incredulous - how can it be possible to construct something so large and so near to another persons property without them having been consulted and without consideration of the impact on their lives?

Shocking that a building with so much impact on a neighbouring property can be erected with no warning or consultation. Even more incomprehensible when this is allowed to take place in a national park.
The public are woefully unprotected from exploitation of planning rules by inconsiderate, inappropriate and self-serving landowners.

I find it hard to believe that regulations permit this sort of thing and that there seems so little consideration of those affected. If this is, as it appears to be, a crude method of enabling residential development on this site those concerned should be thoroughly ashamed of their actions. In my opinion this unsightly structure should be removed with immediate effect. What I completely fail to understand is why, with such a large area at his disposal, the builder should choose to locate the barn in the worst place possible. Shame on you for your totally inconsiderate actions.

As a former Planning Consultant this scenario has become all too familiar to me. There is no justification for farmers being increasinglyexempt from reasonable planning control and flouting the amenities of their neighbours

It is about time LPA authorities look after the interests of ratepayers instead of siding with developers and making money taking their fees. This was a dodgey deal, the 'land' consisted of 2 parcels of land: bias against rate payers seems to the norm for LPA. It's about time LPAs served their communities.
