Cupar Skatepark and Pumptrack Redevelopment

This would be a great thing. The pump track would be a great benefit to a lot of people.

cupar skatepark had its time but is now very sub standard compared to facilities in other towns. Long over due a refresh

With the Factory indoor park closed in Dundee an improvement to the park in Cupar would be excellent. Current bowl is very cramped with limited lines and the lack of an easy accessible quarter pipe makes learning hard for people young and old to get out and skate (or whatever fun wheel you roll on). Box ramps and a rail right in the middle is just so awkward. A decent tarmac pump track is a fantastic idea, for those on mountain and bmx as well as those on scooters, inline and quads. Great practice for those interested in freestyle or street rather than aggressive. The lack of lighting at night, as well as a gravel path up to the park make it even more unfriendly to access on quads/inline for a nice evening sesh after work. All this does at the moment is either puts off the potential new skaters or us returning skaters go else where, which will lead to more and more people skating around Bell Baxter (lighting 24/7) which in turn can and will lead to anti social reports that plagued the scene in the 00s. Bring on the signatures and I hope this campaign gets the traction it deserves.
