The Council needs to hear our voices and know how many of us are against this move to negatively change our City.

Reject this misguided effort to upzone our single family neighborhoods.

This upzoning vote should be up to the people to vote on, not the Culver City Council. I think this is will ruin our special city. There is a lot of space to build multi unit buildings without touching our single family homes. This whole idea is a joke at the expense of the residents who live in the single family homes.

R-1 upzoning is NOT the way to address Culver City’s shortage of affordable housing.

Up-zoning is not the answer to affordable housing. This is well documented in cities throughout the Country.

Sadly, I don't think it matters what we think. The 3 Council members have their minds made up. We are in a no win position. Does anyone have any other info?

This change would entice developers to purchase all older R1 homes in a bidding war, build 2-4 units on the land, and sell at a high profit. That would not solve the problem of affordable homes. It would add more houses but none would be considered "affordable" due to the high cost of the land & construction. And this would destroy the landscaping in place today, and add more traffic to the city.

Putting a 2-4 unit next to a single family home (excluding the areas considered to near downtown) will create more problems then they solve.

This path leads to densities seen in Palms, SM and much of the west side. There are parts of CC already like this. We also need open spaces like R1, it’s what makes our city walkable and neighborly.

These plans will not help create affordable housing and will limit routes to the building of generational wealth for underserved populations.

We need to preserve our single family homes to avoid the environmental impact... I saw what happened to Santa Monica.
