Urgent action to avoid the extinction of the Fairy Wrens by funding research

Currawongs have,taken over here!

Cull only if the Ornithological Society deems it necessary.

Crows tend to be carrion feeders. Currawongs and butcher birds are more likely the culprits. Has anyone witnessed crows killing fairy wrens ? Any photographs ? The other point is that of the natural habitat. Older style gardens with their tight knit shrubbery offered sanctity for these small birds against the larger predators. Modern style gardens are chosen by busy people with plants that are easier to maintain. Not wren friendly in other words. I would need more convincing of the culpability of the Australian raven before I would commit to a call for culling.

I have two only this year but Im not sure if it is the ravens or the bush fires.

All small birds have been chased off or killed by larger birds where I live. So sad.

I've noticed that the arena have disappeared from my area in gulgong.

I had a couple of fairy wrens living in my yard, it would be a disaster to see them disappear (even if killing ravens is also very sad).

These previous birds need all the help they can to ensure their survival

I really would like to know what the hell is wrong with some‘ humans’ who are intent on destroying our paradise

We can’t just sit back and allow and abundance of ‘predatory ’ birds to eliminate others! That is not nature’s balance, we humans have to take the necessary action to save these smaller, vulnerable creatures.
