Dear Carleton Board of Governors, We are a coalition of concerned students writing to you today to bring to your attention pressing issues facing the Carleton community and pragmatic solutions that can rectify these situations. As students, we are Carleton University’s largest investors, yet have very few – if any -opportunities to participate within decision making processes that directly impact our quality of education. In order to remedy these concerns, we demand that: 1. The Board of Governors (BoG) increases the number of student representatives, to grant students the space to voice their concerns and meaningfully participate in decision making processes 2. Honour Carleton University’s institutional obligation to adhere to international law by adopting Socially Responsible Investment policies and immediately withdrawing investments from companies in violations of international law and human rights.
