In reference to Gazette Notice No 1714 Vol CXXIII- NO 42 dated 26th Feb 2021, 2021 , I wish to bring to your notice a number of mistakes which are well within your grasps as a state officer.

On the forgoing matter you made appointments to the board of the Nairobi Metropolitan Area Transport Authority dated 5th Feb 2021.

These appointments were made to the chagrin of the people of Kenya owing to the fact that all those you appointed come from the same ethnic community as yourself.

In public view these appointment goes against the national ethos, shared prosperity and inclusivity as envisaged in the 9 point key agenda of the Presidential taskforce on the building bridges initiative famously known as the (BBI).

These appointments further goes against the spirit and letter of the National Cohesion and Integration Act No. 12 of 2008

In our view as members of public we view these appointments as ethnic based, lopsided towards one single ethnic community and lacks inclusivity as a national ethos.

May you be reminded that we have many other Kenyans, myself included who have what it takes and can represent the face of our diversity as a nation in the discharge of such public responsibilities.

We therefore in the foregoing wisdom ask you to rescind and DE gazette these appointments pronto and reappoint persons in line with the BBI 9 point agenda and the national face of our diversity.

We the undersigned hope to hear from on this matter.

Yours Sincerely

We hereby sign as follows

Am against the opinion that macharia only appoints his tribe people to a public office while there other qualified people from other tribes

It's very unfair for the city to be represented by one ethnic group
