Include gratuities with the price of the Cruise. That way everyone gets a fair share. I don’t like to be told I will have to pay this amount for tips. I think it’s more likely people will get them taken off as I would be inclined to do this. If it’s all included there is no problem.

I agree with show the real price of the crew and keep their income consistent for ALL staff. Passengers can then tip anyone who really made their trip special with additional cash.

I feel strongly that cruise ship workers should be properly compensated for the very hard work they put in - usually working very long hours in multiple parts of the ship(s). Whether this is achieved by increasing their basic pay to a decent level or by including tips in the price of the cruise is almost a side issue. Including the tips in the up-front fare would be a simple fix.

Gratuities should be included in the cost of the holiday, then I can budget accordingly

I like to pay a set price and feel the staff should have a fixed wage as well

I hate having to factor in gratuities when working out the cost of my cruise but I wouldn’t dream of removing them. Just include them in the price! The crew certainly earn them.

Well done for raising the issue, Zlatko. I personally believe fares should include gratuities. The challenge is to ensure that staff income would not be affected negatively.

Get rid of set Gratuities, just pay the staff the equivalent amount and add that cost to the fare cost. Id a cruise staff member provides exceptional service, then they are likely to be rewarded extra by the passenger at the time.

Add it to cruise fare. I’ve never removed gratuities & making it part of the fare doesn’t allow it to happen
