I live at 13th & Park and often jaywalk across Park at this intersection, often because there are trucks pulling into the Giant loading dock and blocking the sidewalk.

This is a very confusing and dangerous intersection with Holmead Street, the Giant Parking lot, and a driveway exit on a major through street. A cross walk is essential.

I frequent the Columbia Heights plaza/metro area multiple times a week and do not feel safe crossing the street at the intersection of Holmead Place and Park Road because there is no crosswalk. Our community and our children would be made tremendously more secure by this low-cost measure.

Thanks for supporting this safety measure. I often see people jaywalking across the road here at great risk. There is a clear need for people to cross here and we should enable them to do so safely.

I wholeheartedly support this request and urge you to take whatever action you can as soon as possible to make this happen. I am a grandma who loves to take her grandchildren to the park and crossing at that spot is dangerous. I appreciate whatever you can do to make this crosswalk happen.
