Crosswalk at 84th Street

We need to slow the traffic on 84 th. The crosswalk will make it safer for children and others crossing 84th.

Very hard to turn from 209a onto 84th safely.

New to this area and have 2 small children, cars drive very fast down 84th, very worried for the safety of my children and others in the area. Please also consider speed bumps!!

It almost impossible to see the cars on 84th.

This intersection is an accident waiting to happen. Your view to the right and left is obstructed and you have to inch out into traffic leaving you quite vulnerable to being hit.

Strongly suport to have this done for safety of children

20929 84th avenue City Hall has a responsibility to make it safer for adults and children to cross 84th. By installing a crosswalk at 84th and 209A street it will make it safer to cross 84th and safer for vehicles turning off of 209A onto 84th. Because of Traffic Regulation Bylaw, 2013, No. 2871 Page 12 states: no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle in, along or upon any of the following highways or places: Article G states: within 6 meters of the of the edge of a marked crosswalk. This should give vehicles better visibility of traffic traveling along 84th avenue when turning onto 84th off of 209A.. City Hall should also post speed limit signs on 84th between 208 and 209A. More importantly, it would help increase safety for pedestrians and vehicles crossing or turning onto 84th if there was no parking allowed on the south side of 84th between 208 and 209A and within 25 meters on either side of the walking trail entrance on the north side of 84th. Then we could actually see if a car was coming. That would be a petition I would support.

A very unsafe intersection, a crosswalk would be very much appreciated.

This road is so dangerous and because the school is on the other side of 208th the township said ladt year when I called we were 63 on the list for them even looking into traffic calming! Then they shared with me 84th is planned to be a direct route to 200th with a bridge going over the ravine by the park! Something needs to be done! Every morning cars are RACING to make the light at 208th it's unbelievable...and when they had the strips testing how fast people were going, he said it was fine because the average was 53 kms ...that's crazy on a side street where people and animals can dart out! And they put the strip right at a corner where people slow down to turn!! I sure hope somethings done before someone gets injured or worse! We've been here 8 years and it's getting worse every month, what kind of counsel let's this happen? Where's the planning department, let them sit here and see what it's like from 5am - 9am , 2pm - 7 pm see if they would want to live like this!!

I live on 84th between 208 and 211. Cars come racing down the street, can barely back out of my driveway without getting hit. Last week a lady actually skreetched her tires and past me on our street. It's extremely UNSAFE!
