Crossing Guard needed to get kids to school safely

We definitely need crossing guards at Calle Saluda and Talega! Too many kids and bikes during school hours.

Absolutely a necessity to have crossing guards! Duh!

Just last week in my neighborhood, an elementary aged child was was hit and killed by a car when walking to school hand in hand with his baby sitter, just across the street from the school. The community is devastated and this should never happen! Please don’t let this happen to the students in your community too. Cross guards are essential.

Safety of our children should be our first priority!

I have personally witnessed a child being hit by a car at this intersection. Needs to happen asap!

This must pass to keep our children safe

A crossing guard is imperative for this intersection in Talega as there are many peds, electric bikes, and turning cars using this path.

My 4 kids cross this corner and have had near misses. Let’s make it safe!

Our previous school had a 9 year old child die when her and her 6 yr old brother were hit by a car at a yield left turn where crossing guards only did one side of the intersection. We never think it will happen until it does. It was devastating for the family and community.

Please protect the kids.

There are tons of children crossing there every weekday. Lots of bikes. A crossing guard is ABSOLUTELY needed at the intersection
