"We would like for the individuals of the Allen CC team that have been involved with the disgraceful acts in recent events be removed from the program. The actions taken by the school and Coach Trent to control their behavior have not had the desired effect. We are embarrassed to be associated with these individuals. These individuals have damaged various aspects of school property including, but not limited to, the locker room, the gym, and the black box theater. They damaged an award that belongs to the school and have brought shame to the AHS athletic image through their disgraceful and potentially illegal activities. We are petitioning to have these individuals removed from the cross country team in order to protect our "family" and strengthen the character and leadership of our team.

We believe it is necessary for our younger runners to have positive role models to follow and cannot bear to watch them miss out on valuable opportunities because of the actions of these individuals. Destruction of property, hazing, and trespassing are actions that we don't want our younger runners to be influenced by and grow to deem asacceptable behavior. We want them to grow into strong leaders who are able to have respect for others, and we cannot obtain our goal until the people responsible for our team's disgraceful actions are removed from the team.

Please sign this petition so we can establish officially that the team itself believes these disrespectful actions are truly not acceptable.Over the past couple of years, we have watched the team develop into a breeding ground for unacceptable character. Previously, the team flourished and created leaders who have gone on to college and accomplished great things. If the team continues in the direction it is currently headed, such pride may no longer be associated with Allen Cross Country. This petition has no further purpose than to draw attention to this pressing issue, and hopefully instigate a recovery back to where we were years ago."
