The Cricketers is a friendly, welcoming pub which I visit each time I am in the area, which is often as my children live in the village. It would seem a great shame if it no longer operated as the hub of the community, bringing everyone together. It would be a huge loss.

I have used The Cricketers since 1985. I met my now wife there; we have held many family celebrations there and the wakes following both my parents funerals were held there, and most recently our 25th anniversary. We both played darts for the pub and have made many friends there. Both of us joined the local golf society whose secretay was the pub landlord at the time. There have been many charitable events held there which have benefited both local and national charities. The Cricketers was also the focus of the village during an extended power outage during extremely cold weather which lasted many days. The pub is the heart of our village and it's loss will adversely affect the community.

I moved to Kingsley from the Midlands a felt very isolated. The Cricketers was invaluable as a place to meet people and help me settle into a new area.
My husband now spends long periods abroad on business and the Cricketers is the perfect place, within walking distance, to meet up with old friends and make new ones.
I met some of my closest friends there.
I have attended and at times helped out at many social events and charity fundraising events over the years. It would be a terrible shame to lose the pub.

For us we moved to the village a year ago and one of the driving factors in choosing Kingsley was a local pub. We saw the pub as a hub of the community and somewhere that brought the community together. We regularly frequent the Cricketers, and without it we wouldn't have been able to integrate with the community and make great new friends. The Cricketers is a real asset to Kingsley and its community and would negatively impact us should it be lost.

This is a vital asset to the community events I have organised there have raised over £4000 for local & national charities by bringing the community together in social activities. I have met many lifelong friends there and would not have done if the facility did not exist as there are no other venues which are open in the evening in the vicinity
