I want to tell you today a very hard truth. I might fall into some kind of conduct violation after this as well. Temple University is known to be the second largest university for diversity. It has more Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri lankan and other nationalities student than any other school. University has drastically hit by the financial cuts and aid halts from state as well federal programs but to overcome all that they raised the fees until recently. New buildings are being made every day and new facilities to ensure that more students can be admitted. But Is it truly for the student or money? We don’t have cricket club at university. Student community that play cricket feel they have pushed down in order to not play the game they have known for years. Reasons are given financially which is not truth. We have tried for last three years to open this club but they just reject us because few people in recreation center are against this game. They don’t even listen to our calls anymore. They don’t even listen to our agenda anymore. We opened a club on Facebook and was threatened to take legal action against us. We don’t want money for this club. We don’t want grounds. We want is official recognition. Please help us over turn this anti-cricket and anti-diversity attitude as this will put not only one community in danger but the whole school. Please join our voice and make it louder. Sign the petition. Your one sign will make us closer to reach our goals.
