The ability to live "in the woods" is the reason we moved here from Winter Park. Stop destroying what makes this area so beautiful by jamming in cookie-cutter homes that will wreak havoc on our peaceful and natural environment.

The natural setting of the Markham Woods corridor is conducive to the livelihood of many forms of wildlife. Keeping the housing density low helps to maintain that character and gives the wildlife a more secure setting in which to live. High density development takes away not only the character of our neighborhoods, it takes away the open space and natural setting of the area’s wildlife. Every square foot of open land is precious.

I’m very concerned about the growing impact on the Wekiva Basin Recharge Area. Just because this property is across the street from the boundary line of the Protection Area does not mean it doesn’t affect water flow. Anyone who has visited that area and the areas around the schools will see the standing water that has been there for months. The more hard surfaces you add the worse the runoff will be. The Engineers guaranteed there would be NO drainage issues a few years ago in Oviedo with the college expansion. A lot of new homeowners found out the hard waaay Engineers make mistakes! The Wekiva is the Crown Jewel that attracts visitors and residents. You kill the goose laying the golden eggs and that might change!

Leave the zoning as-is. 1 home per buildable acre still allows the developer to be profitable.

Commissioners, consider the natural beauty of our Seminole environment for those of residents who have lived and paid taxes for this beauty for years. Thanks!

I purchased my home for the quiet beautiful living environment that this area provides. The traffic and livelihood of this area will be threatened if this is allowed, taking away the livelihood of this area.
