People need to quit being so sensitive and getting all "offended" from little thing everything. Time for "Political Correctness" to find its limits.
The reason the Confederate Flag represents racism is because of groups other than the Confederacy using it improperly. I say KEEP the flag on ALL Confederate memorials. If someone gets all offended, have them walk over and read the plaque to understand what the flag and its placement represents. If they are still upset then they are free to move to another town, state, country.
If you are one of the people offended by this, you have the right to move and we as Americans have a 1st Amendment right to Freedom of Speech along with a Constitutional guarantee of Life & Liberty. Quit trying to take away my liberty so I fit into your box of what you think is acceptable.

This flag is not on a State or Federal building and wasn't payed for by tax dollars it is on a memorial for the last known Confederate soldier

Taking down a flag is not going to stop all of this! It's not a flag it is people that are to blame! You want to take down the flag, but if you look at all the pictures that kid was posted with he was burning an American flag too! So should we take that down too? He just hated people in general!

To me the flag is about heritage something I learned about in History class you can not erase history but you can learn from it

I have never associated the Confederate Flag with racism, only Southern Pride. Leave the flag alone!!

The Confederate flag is not a symbol of slavery, racism or inequality. It is a battle flag flown during a war fought for freedom. Keep our heritage and educate those who are confused on what it actually means. It is possible to be from the south and not feel racism, there is nothing wrong with being from the south and being proud of that.
