The school board has officially approved the creation of the South Central High Sports Hall of Fame. It is rewarding to see our shared history finally receive the formal recognition it deserves. I look forward to seeing how these stories serve to inspire the next generation of athletes.

Final supporters
Since consolidation of Farina/Lagrove and Kinmundy/Alma High Schools in the 1989-90 school year, the South Central Athletic Department has produced several standout athletes, coaches, teams and supporters. It's time to recognize them and create a South Central High Athletic Hall of Fame. Please show your support and let's start cementing the history of Cougar Athletics for generations to come.

YES! About time we get something set up for the athletes who really put South Central on the map.
Long overdue for our boys. There is so much talent that has passed through those doors over the years.
My only concern is choosing recipient's by their accomplishments and not just by name.
Right! You would think a school with 3 MLB drafted players, one world series ring, a state baseball champ, a player and coach of the year, a IBCA HOF baseball, basketball & volleyball coach, an NBA D League player and D1 coach along with an all-time Top 75 NAIA player of all time, not to mention a state bass fishing title, one of the most successful volleyball programs in small schools and numerous AD, supporters and contributors to the program that there is a real need to help remember those beginnings for generations to come.
I’m only on board if there’s a spot in the Hall of Fame for Matt Jones. On second thought, I’m onboard regardless. Matt Jones or no Matt Jones.
