Students' Unions have a long history of engagement in liberation politics and can play an important role within these movements.

ULU represents over 120k students, approximately half of those are women and we have thousands of black, LGBT and disabled students. ULU scrapped its liberation officers just a few years ago. It's unacceptable for a Union as large as ULU to not have guaranteed black, LGBT, Women's and Disabled representation.

This petition is to support the creation of part-time liberation officers (Women’s, Black, LGBT and Disabled) in time for the 2013 ULU elections.

This is long overdue if we actually want an inclusive student body.
