Create Emergency Hunt Relief Policies for Arizona Wildfires

Make this change. A natural disaster closing a unit is DEFINITELY a reason for a refund and treating it as if the hunter wasn't drawn.

An AZGFD policy addressing the closure of the unit during the hunt due to due to unforeseen natural events like wildfires should be developed

I agree. This is an excellent idea.

The matter does appear to have a solution provided there is a will to pursue it. Inclement weather and other factors affecting a hunt is one thing. A formal closure of the hunting area by another agency is another.

I think this is a great idea especially when it comes to once in a lifetime tags it’s only fair they have something to help them if needed

If circumstances are out of the hunters control in the federal government or local government closes the hunt. Why should somebody building points for multiple years be affected?

AZGFD needs to do something to prevent loss of the highly valued opportunity to hunt when forest closures prevent hunters from using their tags.

Charge more for out of state tags first of all. Secondly refund residents when they are unable to hunt the unit they were drawn for due to closures.

Other states have taken the lead on providing fair options to situations like this. It's an easy fix, and AZ should follow their lead.

AZGF system is outdated, and this makes common sense. Getting them to let go of a single penny is an uphill battle.

Events like wildfires are unforeseen, the hunter should be reimbursed and have the opportunity to hunt another date or at the very least try to be drawn again. Ethics must go both ways!! Thank you for your attention to this matter.
