Dear Friends of the Performing Arts, CREATE-Durham (Committee for the Regional Establishment of Arts Theatre and Entertainment) invites you to join with us in support of our efforts to secure and maintain a Performing Arts Centre in Durham Region. We are a collective group of interested citizens representing not only participants in music, theatre and dance but members of the community at large. It is our mission to present to the Region of Durham a plan that focuses on the construction of a performing arts centre and the expansion of opportunity for participation in the Arts to the residence of Durham Region. It is the intent of this committee, when the project is completed, for Durham Region to have a Performing Arts program that shows leadership in this field and has the ability to be self sustaining, offering an enhanced variety of creative options. The Committee encourages your participation, questions and hope to have dialogue and input from many interested parties as our project develops.
