As it stands, there is no opportunity for category 4 women to race at the Madeira Centennial Criterium. The reason for this is the traditionally low participation of cat 4 women at this event, and the logistical challenges of combining the women's 4s with any other field.

However, women's racing is growing and we need to maintain that growth by giving entry level races the opportunity to race in their own field! Because of this, the race director has agreed to change the schedule and give the cat 3/4 women their own race, if we can get 20 women to agree to sign up, pay, and race on race day.
