All of my data must be uploaded to a google drive for me to download it to the network. I do not have a personal device, and am unable to access any of my data. These files are too large to send over email, and I have over 300. I am additionally applying to programs for continued study, and was using drive to manage documents for my applications. I lost access to a number of documents I needed for my applications.

Large data files are easy to share using google drive and this has been a huge disruption after disabling access to gmail.

I use Google Drive for most of my presentations because it ensures I have access whether or not I will be able to use my own laptop to present. Additionally, my alumni email account from Wake is through gmail and I use it to send and share protocols and data when not at work since I don't have to log into a VPN to use it.

I frequently use google drive and gmail for the sharing and storing of protocols and experimental data. Access to these platforms has now been removed from student laptops, making it very difficult to make progress in my research.

I have a .wfu gmail account as my advisor's main appointment is through the WFU Biology department. Most of my data and pertinent files are located in this Google drive, which I can no longer access.

I am a teaching assistant for the undergrad dept and I can't access any of the emails on any of the ids that are received. I have to end up answering all emails on my phone to counter this.

Access to sign up for Center for Precision Med equipment is currently through Gmail due to Covid, which has now been restricted.

This ban has made prevented access to (1) shared data used for manuscript preparation (we are in the middle of responding to reviewer comments on two as of the time I write this), (2) communication between student organizations including those designed to enhance patient care and academic progress, (3) stored information for coursework (4) stored information for research work (5) communication with individuals relevant to current and future academic roles. Although I am lucky enough to have a second computer at home from which I can perform some of this work, I know several students who only have this one school-issued computer. Thus, whereas I have limited capacity to perform important functions, they have none. There must be an option outside this "all-or-nothing" approach that allows us to still perform important and relevant actions and accounts for the economic disparities that exist within our student body. Thank you.

I work with NPR SciCommers to get experience with scientific communication, and the entire member resource guide is on Google Drive. I am also working with a science blog, and their editing process is based on Google Docs. I am now unable to do both of these extracurricular activities from my laptop.
