We are completely against this proposed change to Hinchley Wood admissions. As a parent of a child at Cranmere we are astounded that a child living further away from our local school is likely to get a place over our children. This proposal is certainly creating unfair access to our local school, discriminating against children attending non-feeder schools and most certainly not efectively meeting the needs of families in the local area.

My grandchildren will be prevented from going to Hinchley Wood High School if this proposal is passed. They live in walking distance from the school and are penalised because they attend Cranmere Primary and. Live in Hinchley Wood, this is grossly unfair and puts more cars on our already crowded roads in order to get them to a school further away. What has happened to the "walk to school" policy supported by the government?

With two children at Cranmere School, I wish to object to these proposals on the grounds that they do not seem compatible with the need to ensure fair access to a local secondary school. The point made re the contradiction of 'meetng the needs of families committed to the local area' is, to my mind absolutely correct. Living as we do in the Harefield / Heathside estate we are already familiar with the frustrations of battling against heavy rush hour traffic to get our children to school on time. These proposals potentially encourage extra traffic on our already crowded roads at such times.

My child goes to Cranmere and I am against you denying her a place in a high school in due course as a result of these changes. I have made a lot of effort and substantial financial outlay to be in the right catchment area for my desired schools and you are destroying that. Please reconsider your policy.

I do not support the proposal to introduce feeder schools as this is not compatible with the need to ensure fair access to a local secondary school for all children living within the catchment area.

All schools within a catchment area should be given equal priority for feeding a secondary school. It makes no sense at all and the council and government need to adjust this seemingly utterly inappropriate ruling.

Government initiatives should not mean that local children do not get equal access to good schools. If discrimination for kids living close to suitable schools occurs then the system clearly needs adjusting which would appear to be the case here.

I agree that it is unfair that Cranmere children who live in Esher/Hinchley Wood & Thames Ditton will not be given the same opportunities to attend Hinchley Wood Secondary school. This is an unfair proposal that will truly affect the options for education within an area that is in close proximity to the school. Cranmere should be named as a feeder school.

I live in the Hinchley Wood catchment area. My children did not get a place at Hinchley Wood Primary as it was oversubscribed and attend Cranmere school. It is unfair that my children will not have priority to be considered for a place at HW school when we live in the catchment area and did not get a place in HW primary. It is unfair that Claygate children who live farther away that

I do not agree with feeder schools pupils gaining an unfair advantage over non-feeder children. Catchment area should be the main criteria after siblings, special cases and children in care etc. Fairness across the board is required.
