This whole thing is a mess. We deserve to hear from the lawyer directly instead of getting these scary emails from the board.

Unit 204. Totally agree that we need a meeting before any money gets moved around. This is our life savings we are talking about.

So tired of the runaround. Stop hiding behind the lawyers and give us some real answers about the building safety.

I support the homeowners in order for a fair resolution with respect to coming to a solution so that the board and the home owners can come together on the issues.

This is an excellent summary of what the IRS and other entities describe as a capital improvement. To me it seems VERY clear that this project is exactly that. http://camcontracting.com/capital-improvements-vs-repairs-whats-the-difference

The board should NOT use the $3.9 million number at this time as we do not know what we will find. As I mentioned, the assessment can always be modified. This is preposterous to make owners pay so much without actual invoices etc.. Very very disappointed that the board feels it is correct and ok to assess owners like this. Alot of owners are on Social Security and this is their only means of income. Also not okay with the way certain male members of the board spoke down to in a derogatory manner and dismissed what was said by certain women owners.
