Sex trafficking has become modern day slavery of young kids forced into the commercial sex industry. Here are the FACTS: • Age 12 is the average age of entry into illegal pornography and prostitution. • 100,000 American children are trafficked each year • 55 percent of child pornography on the Internet comes from the U.S • Up to 300,000 American children are at-risk of being exploited through the commercial sex industry in the U.S. every year • Some victims report being forced to service 10 to 15 buyers each night. • A child is low-risk and offers a high profit. Kids are also easy to move around. Here is one case recently reported. “ The indictment further alleges that Royal: coerced two additional minors to engage in sex, for which he was paid; threatened to harm the girls and their families; struck the girls; and held one of the girls at gun point. On several occasions, Royal gave the girls illegal drugs before forcing them to engage in sex with him. Royal drove the girls to hotels in Gaithersburg, Maryland, or caused them to be transported from Maryland to the District of Columbia, to have them engage in sex”. If one underage child is being advertised for sex on Craig’s List, that should be enough to shut it down. This is going on in every major US city. Stop this now.
