There is scientific proof showing evidence that children who take music lessons show different brain development and improved memory over the course of just a year! compared to children who do not receive any musical training.

It would be great to have a full time music teacher for our children. I sure did when I was in school and it made a difference in my life!
Our music docent program is great, but how awesome would it be to have an elementary school program that is consistent throughout the District and supports the wonderful music programs in our middle and high schools!

Music is incredibly important. As a docent, the experience has been great, but the fact is that there are times when I need to reschedule due to work conflicts. A dedicated music teacher will provide consistency for the teachers and students.

I was my son's music docent last year, and although it was a good experience, I would definitely support the district hiring someone music as an occupation, so the children could have a better teaching/learning experience.
