Working with a small, growing company is an amazing opportunity for any employer. There are many jobs to be filled along with new ones being created to help with the fast expansion. With these new changes and new employees being hired, there are at times high demand in need of employees to help run a successful clinic. With these demands employees are being burnt out, getting sick, no longer having the love for the job, and then deciding to leave the company with and a lot of times without notice.

Working with other coworkers at other clinics, the front and mid office are unsatisfied with how our careers and lives are being affected with these changes. The company states that they like to hear our concerns but feel like when an employee tries to voice their concern but only gets a quick corporate response. All we ask is to hear our concerns and try to work with us. If not, some may leave, and due to these few items mentioned below will show some of the reasons for some being understaffed.

  • PTO Accrual/ Sick Days/Holidays
    • PTO math doesn’t add up with what’s promised
    • No sick/mental health days
      • Would have to use PTO
      • MO has most exposure of illness from pts
    • Took 2 paid holidays away from us and never replaced
  • Semi-Monthly Pay
    • Young employees who rent are always late
    • Wait up to almost a week on same pay periods to get paid after new pay period starts
  • Schedule Changes
    • Moved constantly
      • Unable to leave food and be prepared with meals
      • Interferes with plans that have been made before schedule changes
    • Last minute changes
      • Need to check paylocity nightly and before shift starts
    • Clocking in/out to switch locations
      • Illegal
  • Incentives
    • Receiving pins/awards
      • Acknowledging our staff at all times
    • Having management be seen in clinic
      • Help boost a little moral being seen and heard
      • Extra hand for when clinic gets crazy
    • Reward System
      • Makes employees feel appreciated and respected

If want good attendance, performance, then monetarily do bonuses and incentives when not understaffed

The stories you are sending me about burnout are heartbreaking and unfortunately identical. I am currently compiling these experiences to present a collective front to management.

there has been no moral support in this company since i’ve worked here in 2021, when your supervisors assume your mindset and work ethic based off one call out, i would say theyre not fit to be in charge of other hard working adults. especially the ones who pick up shifts and show up everyday

We do not get paid enough for the craziness of "an urgent care" environment, especially in this economy. When it comes to sick days & creating schedules, that's always done with constant reminders & not in a timely manner. & why are we getting penalized for calling out sick or going through a health issue? That should be illegal. Many of us work multiple jobs in order to survive. When the company is not appreciating their employees & running the company with thought for each employee with GENUINE CARE, people start to burn out & eventually leave. At the end of the day, we are all human. Working us 8-8 including on the weekends is inconsiderate. We have lives too.

Bring back partners and home bases for mid and front office. The constant moving people around needs to stop.

A little appreciation goes along way. And sick days are a much especially when you have little ones at home that depend on you to care for them.

Denied time off for religious holidays!! Illegal. Company claim they want employees to have a good work/home life balance but changes schedule days and location without consideration to the employee. TGH Urgent management claims to want happy employees but it’s all about management. They get every night weekend holiday off. While employees have to work all holidays nights and weekends. Not even closed for Christmas. So much for home life . Employees hours from 8-8 . But they expect us to get out on time if they allow patients to sign in upto 8pm.
