Covid-19: Ontario Wants Weddings!

We just want safe weddings that extends beyond 50 people indoors. Couples have lost SOO much money due to these restrictions. It’s time to rethink and come up with creative solutions. We would like a benchmark number as to what percentage of Ontario mans need to be vaccinated before these measures can be lifted.

Weddings are not the problem and never have been. This is not sustainable. This needs to be re looked at, changed and revised like everything else has been in your reopening framework. As many others have mentioned, if schools can reopen safely, weddings (especially outdoor ones) can reopen MUCH more safely.

I feel as though we can start small and at least have ceremonies with 25 people indoors. When it comes to receptions I know that may be tough. But I'm sure there are work arounds. For example receptions with dancing for 50 people (at least) and everyone has to show a negative covid test within the last 72 hours. Just like the flights coming into Toronto.

America is open. Why isn’t Ontario !? Get more aggressive with you vaccine roll out. You guys are sitting on your hands !

Weddings are essential and monumental life events. If not the most significant out of all life events! Please stop ruining this for thousands of couples.

This is enough now. People are loosing there deposits? Pay them back then!

Bring back weddings. Couples have suffered enough moved dates two or three times causing depression. Mental health issues losing deposits.

WE WANT WEDDINGS!! This is becoming absolutely ridiculous now... the stress and anxiety this is causing is horrifying. A bride waits all her life to plan and have the wedding of her dreams and you are ripping all of that to shreds. Figure it out.

We need to have weddings , this has a effected our lives immensely by paying halls 20,000 or more and still have this debts over our heads ! We need to move on with our lives please !

These poor couples need to have a chance to celebrate . I think maybe they should just hold their weddings in Costco walmart or grocery stores since 1000's of people can go there daily

These people have wanted and waited a lifetime for this dream wedding find a way to make them work

Someone’s wedding day is a joyous time! No ones wants to intentionally cause harm to anyone! We have seating charts, contact info, people are sitting with their families aka their bubbles anyways, food and drinks are individually plated. Bathrooms are cleaned regularly, surfaces can be cleaned regularly! Venues are big enough to spread people out at tables. Rule of thumb is If you don’t feel well don’t go! Even if you had one wedding a day venues would have time clean and sanitize! All the same parameters this government claims to need to open schools you can apply to venues and banquet halls! IF I CAN FIGURE IT OUT WITH A CLASS OF 20 KINDERGARTENS!!!! I can figure it out with 200 adults! If Costco can service 600 people at 25% capacity couples can have a wedding of 200 people. These couples getting married now (myself included), how many wedding and couples have they supported, celebrates, loved on and showed up for, before covid 19? - IT’S OUR TURN!
