My kids are on the high school swim team and it's a Joke that when the pool closes they half drive to provo to swim. The amount of wasted money on gas and travel time is justification enough in my opinion.

It’s ridiculous that when the pool was originally built a covered lap pool wasn’t part of the plan. Payson city needs to be forward thinking about community projects. What we really need is a recreation center that residents can use year round, but for now getting the lap pool covered would be beneficial and a worthwhile project.

It would give the local (older) kids something to do outside of getting in trouble since they can't skate and also it'll help keep the physical activity up and the video games down during the cold months!
