When our denomination decided to affirm Women Pastors, we did so without a transparent and denomination-wide process of discernment. Dissent was allowed, even supported. Congregations were never considered "out of harmony" even when acting in direct opposition to the Covenant position. While the issues are different, may we learn from our past mistakes and engage this issue together, faithfully and Biblically.
