So sorry this happened. There is no sorry for doing something thoughtless. Stop and think if it were your family.

Completely Support a law that prohibits anyone or venue, particularly media outlets, to use graphic images and details of fatal accidents without family consent.
GOOD LUCK WITH PASSING THIS LAW...I TO LOST MY 17YR OLD TO AN AUTO ACCIDENT JULY 6TH 2013....I TO THINK THE USE OF PICTURES SHOULD REMAIN OLNY POLICE EVIDENCE....TK

This happened to me 18 years ago. My brothers car was show mangled on the news . It was heart breaking. It's not news they can post a stock photo with the story . They should never show the actual car.

This is a great idea. Every time I see a picture on the news of an accident and they say no names released until family is notified I shudder to think that family may have just seen this too and recognized the vehicle.

The needless sensationalism of accident scenes and tragedies must stop. The information where necessary will always suffice. I hope this succeeds. The families of those dealing with loss and grief deserve better.

This also makes me sick being the daughter, sister & girlfriend of a firefighter here in Fremont, OH they can be kicked off of the department for doing this. It is highly frowned upon and I support this petition with the utmost respect for you!
