Justine's hair is a crucial part of her appearance as without it, she would be bald. It embodies the stereotypical characteristics of Asian hair: sleek, strong and shiny; however, it has always been proven to be challenge to style. In December 2013, she underwent a shorter haircut and as a result, it has become increasingly difficult to braid by a novice.
Braids have recently boomed as a trend as it has been featured in the fashion and beauty world. It is also a hair style that Justine has always admired, especially since she has never been able to hone the skill.
Her long time best friend, Courtney, is an expert in all forms of hair braiding but is reluctant to braid her hair due to Justine's desperation. Justine believes that no one should be judged by the level of determination they exert and is striving to make a change and appoint Courtney as her official hair braider.
