The best philosophy course I have ever taken. The body of the philosophers work was developed & was related to past influences and made relevant to my life.

As long as it also has exciting exterior shots!

Professor Stewart lectured clearly, engagingly, and offered a comprehensive survey of the rather sprawling oeuvre of Kierkegaard's work. I'd be very interested to take further courses on intellectual history from him on Coursera.

I am most grateful for being part of Prof Stewart's presentation which was interesting and exciting. I feel like I have met Soren Kierkegaard and I feel like I know him. Thanks to Timothy Hall and Jon Stewart. I hope to see Prof. Jon Stewart present a course on Hegel.

I have found Dr. Stewart's explanations of Kierkegaard's often hard to follow writing very clear and insightful. He's also been very good at bringing the issues into the present.

Professor Jon Stewart has been able to convey in clear language the role of Kierkegaard and the value of irony and individual commitment. I would like another course. Thank you

I am hugely enjoying this excellent course. It has engaged me in a way that Philosophy, despite many attempts, has not previously done, and has led me to close reading and deeper thinking. It is very well organised and a lot of care has been taken in making original materials available.
