If the City Council allows this change to the zoning you will be acting in bad faith to all the people of this neighborhood who bought their homes with the understanding that this property would be used for schools or open space. Please put our trust back in you by protecting our home values!

D-11 got their school and a park! Then has no comment when we loose our park. This smacks of a backroom deal.

Please keep your plan inline with what you had previously discussed. We would like more land for our children to use. The original plan is also important because we need parks and open space which all fall inline with Colorado's plan as a state to preserve open space.

Please keep zoning/ building in line with what currently exists in Newport Heights.

There’s so much development going on right now in Colorado Springs. We need to keep some areas open and natural and free of development.

Developers should be developing the abandoned businesses all along South Academy Blvd. Instead, those areas now see increasing crime and drug abuse. I moved away from such an area in Houston, Texas where uncontrolled growth has killed almost every native animal. The reason I moved to Colorado Springs was because of the open spaces and quality of life. Now again the catering to developers to destroy green spaces is reminiscent of one of the most sprawled out polluted cities in America.

There are currently 3 new developments already approved in this area of Cottonwood Creek -- we need to keep some open space and cut down on overdevelopment!
